Small habits compound fast on an endless slope. These tips focus on survival first — because distance is still the biggest part of every great score.
Core habits
Look ahead
Train your eyes on upcoming gaps, not the sled under you. Early reads turn panic into planning.
Steer before you jump
Jumping is slower and riskier than sliding through a lane. Save hops for rocks and snowmen.
Tiny corrections
As speed rises, feather the stick (or keys). Big last-second swerves cause most wipeouts.
Protect the line
A gift off your path is bait. Take it only when the exit still looks clean.
Scoring smarter
- Combos amplify gifts. When your multiplier is hot, prioritize safe presents on your current line — not cross-slope detours.
- Near-misses reward precision. Hugging gaps closely is stylish and useful, but only if you stay in control.
- Hard is not always higher. A long Medium run can beat a short Hard crash. Switch up once your average distance is stable.
- Easy is a practice mode. Use it to learn gate timing and ice feel, then move up when clean finishes feel routine.
Power-up timing
Pickups are strongest when they solve a problem you can already see:
- Slow-mo before a tight gate cluster or busy sledder stretch.
- Shield when denser Hard layouts start stacking threats.
- Magnet on a clean center line with gifts off to the sides.
- Boost when the path ahead is open and you want distance to climb.
A simple improvement loop
- Watch the top of the slope so you react before hazards reach you.
- Steer first; jump only for low obstacles you cannot dodge.
- Skip risky gifts — a long run beats a short greedy one.
- Use Easy to learn lines, then Medium/Hard when your steering is clean.
- Spend power-ups in dense sections, not empty snow.
Then review what ended your last run. Trees mean you looked too late. Rocks mean you hesitated to jump. Gates mean your centering needs work. Fix one failure mode per session and your best score usually follows.
